July 2023 - August 2025- Worked on cross platform React application using Capacitor for iOS/Android and Electron for Windows
- Responsible for code review and mentoring other developers.
- Managed architecture design for new features, creating roadmaps and breaking out tasks to allow developers to complete the work in parallel.
- Lead development on new React applications, steering feature implementations to make sure users were satisfied, and working directly with upper management to make sure business needs were met.
- Handled geoJSON data from ArcGIS to enable GIS enhanced features and create in-app interactive maps.
- Wrote unit tests using Jest to ensure new work would not introduce regressions.
- Oversaw code base modernization project, upgrading our tech stack across multiple major releases.

BRmesh Key Extractor
Repo: github.com/laine-hallot/brmesh-key-extract/I wanted to connect some LED smart lights to my home automation server but the manufacturer never bothered writing a Homeassistant integration. There was an unofficial EspHome integration that worked well but getting the mesh key out of the BRmesh app was tricky so I wrote a tool to make that easier. The tool scans QR code shown on the BRmesh sharing screen, decrypts the mesh details, and shows you your mesh key which you can plug into the EspHome integration.
